PASTOR
Dr. Charles "Chuck" McGathy has been an ordained Baptist minister since 1982. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Houston Graduate School of Theology. Prior to coming to First Baptist Church he served as Associate Pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida and in the Chaplain Corps of the United States Navy. In August 2006 he retired at the rank of Commander and came to serve the people of Western Rockingham County through the ministry of First Baptist Church.
Dr. McGathy is married to Dawn and together they care for and nurture five children. When he is not busy with church or family he can be found exploring local waters in pursuit of fish.
