Pastoral Care
You can find out more about the pastor by using the links on this page. The first link provides more information about who our pastor is and his background. In this link you can also hear the weekly benediction "Nothin' but Grace" which is how he ends each service.

Another link is for our pastor's code of ethics. There is great concern these days regarding the ethical practice of ministry. Take a moment and see how our pastor stands on these ethical practices.

Our pastor has special opportunities to serve you. A few of these are listed below:

COMMUNION. Communion or the Lord's Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month at the 11:00 service. We celebrate open communion, that is anyone who desires to confess Christ and seek to follow him is invited to partake. None are excluded because of differing denominations. We take communion in the pews after being served by the deacons. A small piece of bread and small cup of juice represent the orignal elements of unleavened bread and wine. While we do not believe that these actually become the physical body of Christ, we do hold that there is a deeply spiritual transference that occurs which is beyond our ability to fully comprehend.

BAPTISM. Baptism is the joyful celebration of the work the Holy Spirit has already done within an individual. There are many ways people are baptised. In our church we have people who have come from a number of traditions and experienced baptism in a number of ways. If you have never been baptised please contact our pastor and he will gladly  share with you how you too can follow Christ in baptism.

CHILD DEDICATION. While our pastor does not baptize infants, he loves to do  dedications of children to the Lord. In this service parents and church agree to nurture the young life spiritually. When that person is ready to decide for him or her self, he/she will gladly embrace the God who loved them all along.

COUNSELING. Pastoral counseling is confidential counseling. The pastor does not discuss the counseling with outside parties unless the person being counseled gives permission. If you have a matter that you need help with or you know someone who could use this kind of counseling please contact the pastor for an appointment.

MOBILITY IMPAIRED MINISTRY. Thosse who are home bound, in hosptial, or in a nursing care facility are important to this church. If you or someone you know desires a visit please let the pastor know so he can schedule a time to call. If communion is desired please make the pastor aware so he can prepare properly for the call.

PRAYER. Each week the pastor reviews and lifts up the prayer requests from the congregation. If you have a prayer request you can let the pastor know by email, phone, or filling out the blue comment cards in the pew racks.

WEDDINGS/FUNERALS. There is specific policy regarding the use of the church and the pastor's services. Please contact the church office for more information.
